Leveraging the benefit of digital technology, an insightful webinar on ‘Applications of Costing Software in Material Optimization’ was held at FDDI, Hyderabad campus in collaboration with CMI Machines Pvt. Ltd., India on 8th September, 2023.
CMI Machines Pvt. Ltd., India was founded more than 20 years ago as a solution for the distribution and technical assistance of the software developed by the Footwear Technological Institute.
The webinar was organized by School of Footwear Design & Production (SFDP) during which Mr. S. Baskar, Manager, Sales & Technical & Mr. Ravi, Manager, Business Development & Technical, CMI Machines Pvt. Ltd., India discuss the various ways that users can optimize their processes to greatly reduce costs.
Mr. Ravi, through a presentation explained the future design aspects about 3D Virtual, its types & applications, introduction of ICAD 3D+ software, applications in footwear design and how 3D+ applications are reshaping the sector. This innovative software streamlines material selection, minimizes waste, and significantly reduces costs throughout the production process.
The webinar paved way as the best virtual alternative to the traditional process of design, pattern engineering, and costing to reduce the time spent as well as the material and human resources of the company.
The national webinar was attended by more than 50 participants including students, faculties, staff members.
