With the objective to provide a spontaneous educational and learning experience, a batch of 35 students of FDDI, Kolkata campus visited Indian Museum located at Dharmatala, Kolkata on 24th August 2023.
The students of School of Fashion Design (FD) who were accompanied by a senior faculty and a lab assistant visited the six sections of the Indian Museum comprising thirty-five galleries of cultural and scientific artifacts namely Indian art, archaeology, anthropology, geology, zoology, and economic botany.
The Indian Museum is a massive museum in Central Kolkata, West Bengal, India, and the ninth oldest museum in the world. The students were mesmerized watching the rare collections of antiques, armor and ornaments, fossils, skeletons, mummies, and Mughal paintings.
The visit provided an opportunity to enhance their knowledge which will help them in their projects and assignments.
