On 13th September 2023, FDDI, Rohtak campus organized a seminar on ‘Sewing Needles’ which was attended by all the students and faculties of School of Fashion Design (SFP) and School of Footwear Design & Production (FDP).
The seminar was organized to equip the students with the technical knowledge of sewing needles which is a very small entity but, plays a very crucial role in improving the shop-floor productivity and the product quality especially in footwear, fabric & fashion world.
Mr. Tarun Munshi, Sales Manager, Groz-Beckert having 20 years of experience in marketing field was the resource person for the seminar.
Groz-Beckert is the world’s leading provider of industrial machine needles, precision parts and fine tools, as well as systems and services for the production and joining of textile fabrics.
Mr. Tarun explained about the basics of needle, parts of needles, types of needles, working of needles, qualities of needle, role of needle in leathers and fashion fabrics.
The seminar helped the students to acquire knowledge about the types of textile needles, leather needles, model numbers, how to choose needle size according to material, needle deformities, solutions and much more.
