To provide the most varied, relevant and up-to-date information to the students on the various programmes being conduct by FDDI and on how to determine the direction most suited to their talents & qualifications, the staff of FDDI, Kolkata campus, under the ‘Looking East Approach’ participated in ‘Student Outreach’ fair which was held at Guwahati from 30th August 2023 to 2nd September 2023.
The students of various schools in and around Guwahati participated in the event. The officials from FDDI were present at FDDI’s stall to guide the students about the career opportunities available.
Mr. Sunil Kumar Ullattuthodiyil, Executive Director, FDDI-Kolkata campus interacted with the heads of various schools and provided first-hand knowledge to them about the various professional programmes being conducted by the Institute. He also encouraged them to visit FDDI.
The officials of FDDI apprised the needs of today’s job market pertaining to the Footwear, Fashion, Retail and Leather Goods & Accessories Industry and created awareness among the students who are on the threshold of choosing a lucrative career in these areas.
This approach also helped in to build direct relationships with the schools, principals, and teachers of Guwahati region.
