Mrs. Revathi Roy, Chairperson FDDI


Mrs. Revathi Roy, Chairperson of the FDDI is also the Director of RR Leather Products Pvt. Ltd. - formed in the year 1988, a renowned company which is manufacturing leather garments for located at 136, SIDCO Industrial Estate, Ambattur, Chennai.


She is of the opinion that although the Indian leather industry has only a few women leading companies, yet, there is a lot of encouragement for the women entrepreneur.


Mrs. Roy has considerable hands-on working experience in leather industry, especially in designing leather garments. Her long industrial voyage has brought new dimension to the development of the leather garments sector.


The vast experience of Mrs. Roy in the industry guides FDDI to attain new heights in serving the leather and footwear industry.


Following her entrepreneurial philosophy “As Gandhi Ji taught us, we are only custodians, not owners and have to conduct ourselves as such,” she is optimistic in taking the FDDI to greater heights as an Institute of Excellence.


Mr. Arun Kumar Sinha, IAS, Managing Director -FDDI


Mr. Arun Kumar Sinha, IAS (MN: 1999) has joined as the Managing Director of Footwear Design & Development Institute with effect from 11th July 2017.


Prior to joining FDDI, Mr. Sinha served as OSD (ADMIN) in India Trade Promotion Organization (ITPO).


He has not only administrative experience of more than 18 years but also academically very enriched. He is a Chemical Engg. from IIT, Kharagpur and Masters in Public Policy & Management from London School of Economics & Political Science.


Mr. Vivek Sharma, Secretary -FDDI


Mr. Vivek Sharma, an IRS officer of 2003 batch of the Indian Revenue Services has joined FDDI as ‘Secretary’ from May 24, 2017.


Prior to joining FDDI, he was working in the Income Tax Department and handling the charge of Additional Commissioner of Income Tax at New Delhi.

He has done Bachelors of Engineering with specialization in Industrial Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology (Roorkee).

Having wide exposure in the field of Administration and Finance, Mr. Sharma has broader integrated vision to make the FDDI, as one of the best hub of ‘International Skill Learning Centre’ in the field of Footwear, Leather, Retail, Fashion & Management.


Mr. Adarsh Kumar, Executive Director -FDDI Noida


Mr. Adarsh Kumar has joined the Footwear Design & Development Institute (FDDI), Noida as 'Executive Director' from 4th March 2016.


He belongs to 1995 batch of the Armed Forces Headquarters Civil Service and has worked in various areas of administration, personnel management, training, discipline & vigilance and financial planning in the Defence Head Quarter.


He has obtained M.B.A. (Finance) from National Institute of Financial Management, Faridabad and has also pursued M.A. (Public Policy and Sustainable Development) from TERI University.


Mr. Kumar likes to read, write and enjoys sports. He is fond of gardening and believes in the philosophy that- “Life is all about yearning and learning”.


He aspires to do his bit in making the FDDI, as one of the best international skill learning centre in the field of Footwear, Leather, Retail, Fashion & Management.


Mr. Vikas Singh, IRS Executive Director - FDDI Rohtak


After having accomplished an overall rich experience of over 07 years, Mr. Vikas Singh, an officer of 2008 batch of the Indian Revenue Services (IRS) has joined the Footwear Design & Development Institute (FDDI), Rohtak as ‘Executive Director’ from 01st February 2016.


He pursued Bachelor’s of Technology in Electronics & Communication Engineering from ITM University, Gurgaon, Haryana.


Prior to joining FDDI, he has been serving the renowned Indian Revenue Services as Deputy Commissioner of Income Tax, Central Board of Direct Taxes for about 7 years.


He has grand visions about making FDDI a hub of ‘Skill Centre’ in the field of Footwear, Leather, Retail, Fashion & Management to compete on the global level.


Mr. Vikas Verma, Executive Director - FDDI, Fursatganj

Mr. Vikas Verma has joined the Footwear Design & Development Institute (FDDI), Fursatganj as ‘Executive Director’ from 26th February 2016.


Prior to joining FDDI, Mr. Verma was handling the charge of Divisional Mechanical Engineer at the esteemed Indian Railway Service of Mechanical Engineers (IRSME). He has been serving the Railway Services since 2010 and was heading the Diesel Training Centre, Jhansi.


Besides his services at the renowned Indian Railway Services, he has exceptional academic credentials; he is a Gold Medalist in Mechanical Engineering from Birla Institute of Technology (BIT), Mesra, Ranchi. Apart from his engineering expertise, he is a splendid sports person with keen interest in Badminton, Billiards and Football.


His vision is to take FDDI to new heights and to improve it further as a centre of excellence.


Mr. Ashok Kumar Choudhary, Executive Director - FDDI Jodhpur


After having accomplished an overall rich experience of over 15 years, Mr. Ashok Kumar Choudhary, an officer of 2008 batch of the Indian Railways Stores Services (IRSS) has joined the Footwear Design & Development Institute (FDDI), Jodhpur as ‘Executive Director’ from 28th October 2015.


Mr. Choudhary has been in service with the Indian Railway Store Services - North Western Railways Division since 2009. He pursued Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering from JNV University Jodhpur in first division post which he was associated with the noble profession of education & teaching as a Lecturer in Mechanical Engineering for about 9 years, before joining the renowned Indian Railways Stores Services.
