Admission Procedure - Indian Applicants

Procedure for Post Graduate & Under Graduate Programmes: |
|

| |
Eligible candidates will have to undergo an All India Selection Test (AIST) that consists of a Written Examination, Group Discussion/ Design Aptitude Test & Personal Interview. Written examination will be conducted on 12th, 13th and 14th June 2010 in multiple sessions. Candidates may have option to choose the date according to their convenience. Written examination will be conducted in the following cities all over India: |

Candidates are required to give 4 choices in the application form in order of their preference for examination centre from the above mentioned list. FDDI would allot exam centre as per availability. No request for change of date and exam centre would be entertained. The allotment of centre of examination and date will be given on first come first serve basis. While deciding centre and date of examination choice filled up in the form will be given preference. FDDI reserves right to add or cancel the exam centers listed above.

Admit card bearing the address of exam centre and date of exam for written examination will be sent to the candidates in the fourth week of 28th May 2010. Candidates not receiving the admit card by 08th June 2010 may get in touch with the Training Cell, FDDI for obtaining the duplicate copy of the admit card. The written test and group discussion are conducted in English medium only. |

An all India merit list will be prepared on the basis of the result of written examination and the short listed candidates will be called for Group Discussion, Design Aptitude Test and Personal Interview, which will be held at FDDI, Noida in the month of June 2010.
** Candidates applying for PG Diploma in Creative Designing & CAD /CAM (PGDCD), PG Diploma in Leather Goods & Accessories Design (PGDLGAD) and Diploma in Leather Goods & Accessories Design (DLGAD) will have to undergo Design Aptitude Test also.

The short-listed candidates after personal interview will be required to submit all the photocopies of mark sheets, certificates and also the copy of medical fitness certificate at the time of admission. |

NOTE: Candidates appearing in final year exam would be provisionally allowed to appear in the written test, GD and interview. However, such candidates are required to submit mark sheet of final year at the time of admission. In case candidates fail in the final year exams his/her admission would be cancelled. |

Procedure for Admission Through Counselling |
|
| |
|
|
| |
The programme & campus will be awarded to the candidates on the basis of their rank and preference. Successful candidates will be called for the counseling in the order of their rank. Admissions will be made strictly on merit basis (Rank-wise) and counseling / admissions will continue till all the seats get filled-up. Students will be called in the counseling in excess of the seats as few students opt out during counseling. Therefore, there are possibilities that all the seats are filled before the counseling of all called candidates is over. Candidates will be called in the counseling room as per their rank on the basis of aggregate score in the Written, GD, interview and design aptitude test. Institute does not take any responsibility for any inconvenience caused to parents/candidates due to closure of the counseling prior to their turn.

A candidate who is allotted a seat will be required to pay an amount of Rs. 25000/- immediately on the spot at the time of counseling /admission to reserve the seat. The amount submitted shall not be refunded in case of withdrawal of admission. The candidates will be given seven working days to deposit the balance fee. |

Procedure for Short Term Programmes: |

Admission in short-term courses is offered on the basis of screening of applications and personal interview in the Institute. |
