With an objective to make the young minds aware about the upcoming trends in materials, colors and design aspects of the footwear industry, the students from School of Footwear Design & Production (FDP) FDDI, Hyderabad campus visited Footwear India Expo – 2023 which was held at the Meydan Expo Center in Hitec City, Hyderabad from 25th to 26th November 2023.
Under the guidance of the highly experienced faculty of FDDI Hyderabad, the students of B.Des FDP 2021 and B.Des FDP 2020, visited the expo which is recognized as one of India's leading footwear trade and allied industry exhibitions.
Cubix Footwear, Rellyson Footwear, Lancer Footwear, APL, Relic Footwear, and more, totaling over 40 stalls were present at the event. students explored both non-leather and leather manufacturing company stalls, gaining insights into the latest designs showcased at various booths.
The visit provided students with the unique opportunity to observe a diverse range of footwear, soles, and upcoming technologies in the field of footwear manufacturing. Beyond acquiring hands-on technical knowledge, the experience also allowed students to develop an understanding of the event management skills essential for organizing fairs and exhibitions.
