FDDI & KSIDC organize ‘Investor Conclave 2024’ at Calicut

During the ‘Investor Conclave 2024’ key players in the industry, institution united to discuss, deliberate, and to foster the growth and development of Kerala,

On this occasion, Mr. P Rajeev – Hon’ble Minister for Industries, Law and Coir, Government of Kerala, Mr. S Harikishore, IAS, Managing Director (MD), KSIDC & Director, DIC, Mr. Suman Billa, IAS, Principal Secretary, Industries and NORKA, Government of Kerala, Mr. Pankaj Kumar Sinha, Managing Director (MD)-FDDI and Dr. Narasimhugari Tej Lohit Reddy, IAS, Executive Director (ED), FDDI Hyderabad campus, Mr. V K C Razzak, Chairman, All India MSME Footwear Council & Director, KSIDC and Mr. Ranjith Babu, General Manager, DIC – Calicut were present.

During the conference, distinguished individuals addressed on diverse subjects.

In his ‘Special Address’, Mr. Pankaj Kumar Sinha, MD, FDDI said, “Kerala, with its rich cultural tapestry and entrepreneurial spirit, has proven to be the fertile soil from which the footwear sector has blossomed. Our journey in this picturesque state has been one marked by collaboration, innovation, and an unwavering commitment to excellence.”

The success of our journey is owed to the relentless efforts of our dedicated faculty, the support of the industry, the enthusiasm of our students, and the collaborative partnerships we've forged along the way,” added Mr. Sinha.

The event addressed a multitude of relevant topics, including fostering Start-Ups and Scale-Ups, charting paths for sustainable growth, and understanding the government's role in enhancing the ecosystem.

In his address, Dr. Narasimhugari Tej Lohit Reddy, IAS, ED, FDDI Hyderabad campus briefed on the topic ‘Footwear Industry in Kerala and Opportunities’.

During the ‘Technical Sessions’, Dr. Narasimhugari Tej Lohit Reddy, IAS, ED, FDDI Hyderabad campus briefed on ‘Schemes, policies & initiatives of the Central Government’. Mr. Prince Joseph, Sr. Faculty Footwear Department, HoD - FDDI Chennai briefed on ‘Areas of collaboration, new technologies, training etc.’ Mr. D Ramesh, Faculty – FDDI Chennai briefed on Integrated Development of Leather Sector (IDLS) Scheme and Mr. Rajesh Nair, Faculty – FDDI Chennai briefed on ‘Testing Facilities’.
