Mr. Pankaj Kumar Sinha, Managing Director (MD)-FDDI was invited as a ‘Guest of Honour’ during the recently concluded ‘SHOETECH Kanpur 2023’’ - Buyer-Sellers Meet cum Exhibition organized by Indian Footwear Components Manufacturers Association (IFCOMA) which was held 6th & 7th December 2023 at KLC Complex, Kanpur.
Apart from Mr. Pankaj Kumar Sinha, MD-FDDI, the inauguration was attended by Mr. Sanjay Gupta, President IFCOMA, Mr. Mukhtarul Amin, Chairman, Super House Ltd., Mr. Rajendra Kumar Jalan, MD, M/s. Arvind Footwear & Vice -Chairman, CLE, Mr. Sheikh Mohd Shahid from M/s. Zam Zam Tanners, Dr. Anil Ranga (GM, Ordnance Equipment Factory, Kanpur), Mr. Rakesh Suri (MD, M/s. IRUS Footwear & Convener-Safety Footwear Panel, CLE), Mr. Javed Iqbal (MD, M/s. Naaz Leather & Regional Chairman, Central Region, CLE) and Mr. Vikas Kumar Dang (President, Leather Rubber & Shoe Material Merchant Association, Kanpur), Managing Committee of IFCOMA many other stalwarts of the industry and media persons.
Delivering his ‘Keynote Address’, Mr. Pankaj Kumar Sinha, MD-FDDI said, “A strong bonding between Footwear and Component manufacturers is vital to minimize the imports and allow growth for the local industry which will play a transformative role in fulfilling the goals of Hon’ble Prime Minister’s ‘Vocal for Local’, ‘Make in India’, ‘Aatmanirbhar Bharat’, ‘Skill India’, and ‘Start-up India’ Programmes.”
FDDI also put-up its stall and displayed its publications and informed about its laboratory services, various training programmes, consultancy services through brochure and one-to-one meeting and also interacted with the companies regarding the placements of the students.
During the ‘SHOETECH Kanpur 2023’, Lifetime Achievement Award (Leather Sector, Component Sector), IFCOMA Excellence Award, IFCOMA Young Woman Entrepreneur Award and IFCOMA Young Entrepreneur Award were given for valuable contribution for the Industry.
With the strong support of all trade institutions, it was IFCOMA’s 13th edition of ‘SHOETECH-Kanpur 2023’ during which exhibitors displayed various footwear components, accessories & machinery which included specialized Soles (TPR/TPU/PU etc.) of the latest design, Plastic shoe lasts, Insoles, Toe-puff & Counters, Linings & Interlinings, Threads, Finishes & Chemicals, Packaging Boxes, Shoe Machinery etc.
