FDDI organizes training programme on 'EMS'

Two-days training programme on Internal auditors for Environmental Management Systems, covering the requirements of ISO 14001-2004 and ISO 19011-2002, was held at FDDI. Twelve staff members of FDDI attended the training programme. According to Mr. Rajeev Lakhara, IRS, Managing Director, FDDI, “We at FDDI give due consideration to the environment & will continue to take measures to help prevent global warming and at the same time try to reduce the environmental load by diminishing environmental risks and slashing use of resources”.

After the successful completion of the programme, Mr. Shashi Bhushan Shukla, IRS, Secretary, FDDI congratulated the trainees and distributed the certificates among them. Mr. V B Parvatikar (Director- Technical) was also present during the occasion. As FDDI is committed to maintaining the standards of ISO 14001-2004, the training of the staff will help the organization to maintain and improve its environmental objectives and targets. |

FDDI Launches 'TEDP' programme from 6th November 2006

FDDI is conducting Technical Entrepreneurship Development Programme (TEDP) sanctioned by the Department of Science and Technology (DST) for the year 2006-2007 at its premises in NOIDA. This is an industry specific programme giving opportunities to prospective entrepreneurs in footwear and component industries. The main aim of the programme is to groom, develop and motivate budding entrepreneurs in footwear and component industries. The course will commence from 6th November 2006 and the timings are from 4.30 pm to 6.30 pm on week days and from 11.00 am to 3.00 pm on Saturdays. |

National Institute for Entrepreneurship and Small Business Development (NIESBUD) would be taking up lectures on Entrepreneurship Management modules for 3 weeks. Two weeks would be dedicated to technical inputs on Footwear Technology and Retailing and One week is for projects and factory visits. Number of the seats for the course are 25. Hands on training on footwear manufacturing and expertise lecture on export-import documentation would be a further value addition to the programme. |
