The faculties of Leather Goods and Accessories Design (LGAD), School of Fashion Design (FD) and School of Footwear Design & Production (FDP) of FDDI, presented research papers during ICON 2023 International Conference on ‘Sustainable Design Practices’ which was held from 25th - 27th November, 2023 at National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), Kangra.
The other design institutes such as NIFT, NID, IIT Design, UID, and more actively participated in the conference which provided a platform for the exchange of research work, papers, and design applications, focusing on identifying different sustainable design practices.
Themes and subthemes covered a wide array of domains related to sustainability in design, technology, management, and allied areas.
Faculty and students from different domains at FDDI made a notable impact by presenting a total of 7 papers and posters. The screening committee acknowledged the quality of their contributions and approved the publication of these papers in the esteemed conference proceedings.
This prestigious event brought together experts, scholars, and students from diverse fields to explore and discuss sustainable design practices and provided a platform for networking and collaboration among individuals & institutions and also offered a glimpse into the latest trends and technologies, knowing them which is crucial for staying on top of the game.
