Footwear Design and Development Institute (FDDI) participated in 6th edition of the India International Footwear Fair 2022 (IIFF), which was held at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi from 1st to 3rd September 2022.
IIFF was organized by India Trade Promotion Organization (ITPO) and co-organized by Confederation of Indian Footwear Industries (CIFI).
IIFF had display of entire range of products relating to footwear and leather industries: footwear, raw material, finished products and auxiliary products such as synthetic material, finished leather; shoe components - uppers, soles, heels, counters, lasts; footwear machinery and equipment, process technology, software, chemicals and publications.
During the IIFF, information about the academic programmes of FDDI which is having the status of ‘Institute of National Importance’ as per FDDI Act, 2017 was also provided to the aspiring students at the stall of FDDI located in Hall – 10, 1-A.
FDDI in association with CIFI organized a ‘Fashion Show’ on 2nd September 2022 at 6:00 PM at Pragati Maidan.
The event was graced by the esteemed presence of Mr. Arun Kumar Sinha, IAS – Managing Director (MD), FDDI, Mr. Raj Kumar Gupta, President- CIFI, Mr. V Noushad, Newly Elected President, CIFI, Mr. Alok Jain, National Treasurer, CIFI, Mr. Sanjay Gupta, President, Indian Footwear Components Manufacturers Association (IFCOMA) and other industry dignitaries.
The students of the institute presented their 9 outstanding self-designed fashion attires, accessories and footwear which reflected amalgamating creativity with contemporary ideas in a dedicated 60 minutes slot.
The fashion show was choreographed by Bollywood's leading fashion show director and choreographer, Mr. Kaushik Ghosh.
Audience was mesmerized by the grace and beauty of the entire show. The event was a huge success as it was well appreciated in the form of thunderous applause after the show.
