Creative talent of FDDI, Kolkata student leads to winning ‘Gold Prize’ in ‘Design Wolf Trendathon Contest’, S/S 23 Pantone

Mr. Ajeet Raj, a student of Footwear Design & Development Institute (FDDI), Kolkata campus had participated in the ‘Design Wolf Trendathon Contest’ organized by Pantone and won the ‘Gold prize’ for his mood board ‘Avant Garde’.

Mr. Ajeet Raj, a student of School of Leather Goods & Accessories Design (SLGAD), Batch - 2019, Semester 7, received a sponsored prize of Fashion, Home + Interior Color Guidebook (FHI) from Pantone which is an access to 2,625 market relevant colors displayed in two portable, color-on-paper fan decks, and arranged by color family for optimum viewing, extremely relevant for color inspiration and communication.

‘Trendathon’ is a contest where the Trend Forecasters play in collaboration with others to predict the next season when it comes to lifestyle and fashion and Interior architecture trend that shifts based on the current trends and colour forecast.

This will certainly add the most productive part and a very innovative way for Mr. Ajeet Raj to work on his trend forecasting skills in real-time as Pantone will enable him to use their cutting edge technology of demand manufacturing by Tukatech and Design Wolf.

In collaboration with Pantone, Trendathon have 5 Color Trend themes for this Spring-Summer ’23 for the participants to work on to do their micro trend predictions for their client’s brands, Fashion & Lifestyle brands, retail stores, market segment and targeted end-consumer.
