A Faculty of Footwear Design & Development Institute (FDDI), Chhindwara, campus was invited by Commerce and Management Department (C&MD), Govt. Autonomous PG College (GAPGC), Chhindwara to deliver lecture on ‘Security Market and Retail Management’.
Upon the request received, Dr. Vinit Verma, Faculty, FDDI School of Retail and Fashion Merchandise (FSRFM), conducted the workshop and delivered lectures on Retail Operation, Retail Financial, HR Practices in Retail Firms, Behavioural Science and Career Options in the Retail Sector during the five days’ workshop at GAPGC, Chhindwara.
Dr. Vinit Verma, Faculty, FSRFM is having over 14 years of experience in Retail Operation & Securities Market.
The workshop was conducted from 23rd November to 27th November 2021 which was attended by approximately 100 students of BBA & B.COM –IIIrd year and faculty of C&MD, GAPGC, Chhindwara.
Dr. Amitabh Pandey, Principal, GAPGC, Dr. Anil Jain, Professor and Head C&MD, Smt. Harshlata Uikey, Asst. Professor, Dr. Ritesh Vishwakarma, Asst. Professor and Mr. Anand Nema, HOD-BBA of GAPGC were amongst the dignitaries who attended the workshop.
On the concluding day, Mr. Pradeep Mandal, Incharge -FDDI Chhindwara campus briefed about the job opportunities and the role played by FDDI in providing skilled manpower to this fast growing sector. He also highlighted the potential career choices available for future retail professionals in various operational areas after pursuing the professional courses conducted by FDDI.
The sessions provided thorough understanding of the concepts and procedures that go into retailing and related industries and helped the participants to improve the fundamentals of Retail Management.
