‘Hindi Pakhwara’ held at FDDI campuses

‘Hindi Pakhwara’ was held at all the campuses of Footwear Design & Development Institute (FDDI) located at Noida, Fursatganj, Rohtak, Chennai, Kolkata, Chhindwara, Guna, Jodhpur, Ankleshwar, Banur, Patna and Hyderabad from 14-28, September, 2022.

In order to promote the knowledge and skills in use of official language – Hindi among the faculty, staff and the students in consonance with the policy of Government of India, four competitions were organized during the ‘Hindi Pakhwara’.

The competitions witnessed the oratory, logical skills and the literary acumen of the faculty, staff and students in Hindi.

Besides this, under the Department of Official Language Incentive Scheme, cash prizes and certificates were given to the Teaching as well to the Non-Teaching departments for the maximum percentage of work done by the department in Hindi during the last year.

During all the competitions, a large number of both teaching and non-teaching staff as well as students participated enthusiastically in the competitions.

During the closing ceremony of ‘Hindi Pakhwada’ at FDDI, Noida campus, on 29th September 2022, Mr. Arun Kumar Sinha, IAS, Managing Director (MD), FDDI, delivered the ‘Keynote Address’, and briefed about the importance and status of Hindi language. He also urged to use Hindi in day-to-day work.

On this occasion Dr. Pragya Kandpal, Secretary, NARAKAS was the Chief Guest who addressed the employees. In her speech, she said that ‘Hindi’ in not just language, it is a thread that unites the countrymen.

In this grand program, the students of the institute also presented cultural programs which was applauded by the audience.

During the prize distribution ceremony, the winners were awarded cash prizes as well as certificate.

At FDDI, Chandigarh (Banur) campus, Mr. Jugal Kishore, Assistant Commissioner of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, Regional Office, Chandigarh, was the Chief Guest at the closing and prize distribution ceremony.

The program was presided over by Smt. Neena Behl, Assistant Director-Official Language, Prasar Bharati, Chandigarh. Mr. Gurdeep Singh, Principal, Kendriya Vidyalaya, Mrs. Geetika Chandra, Principal, Delhi Public School, Rajpura, Mrs. Jaspreet Kaur, Senior Teacher, Kendriya Vidyalaya and industrialist Mr. Pravesh Kumar were the other eminent guests present on this occasion.
