Industrial exposure for FDDI, NOIDA students at Mochicko Shoes Pvt. Ltd.


On 17th February 2021, under the supervision and guidance of the faculty of Footwear Design & Development Institute (FDDI), NOIDA campus, the students of Bridge courses (2017-21) were taken for factory visit to watch the manufacturing facilities of Mochicko Shoes Pvt. Ltd.

Mochiko Shoes Pvt. Ltd., located at Phase 2, NOIDA is working with Adidas and Reebok.

The objective of this industrial exposure was to give better insights of the industrial process taking place i.e., from material to making of sport shoe.

Production Manager and Excellence Head of Production of Mochicko Shoes Pvt. Ltd. briefed the students about the entire process of sports shoe manufacturing right from receiving the order receiving till the final dispatch. He also briefed about all the intricacies of best way of material utilization and shared their experience with the students.

The objective of this industrial exposure was to provide a solid foundation & to make the students conversant with latest technological developments in sports footwear technology along with familiarizing them with the various stages of sports shoe manufacturing.

This visit was the part of their project based academic module ‘Sports Shoe Manufacturing and Planning’ where students have chosen to work on the tecno-managerial aspects of Sprinter shoe, Football boot & Cricket boot manufacturing.

Through this visit, the students also got an opportunity to learn about the working atmosphere and various functional areas like quality control, supply chain logistics and other major operations of the industrial unit.
