FDDI Observes Swachhata Hi Seva 5.0 Across All Campuses

FDDI, observed Swachhata Hi Seva 5.0 from 15th September to 2nd October 2025 across all campuses, celebrating the vision of Mahatma Gandhi and promoting collective responsibility for cleanliness, hygiene, and environmental sustainability.

During the initiative, FDDI campuses undertook a wide range of activities, including identification and cleaning of Cleanliness Target Units (CTUs) with before-and-after documentation on the SHS portal, Swachhata Pledge ceremonies for staff and students, and regular cleanliness drives within classrooms, offices, workshops, labs, and surrounding communities.

Health check-ups, blood donation camps, awareness programs, and recognition sessions were organised for sanitation workers under the Safai Mitra Suraksha Shivir. Advocacy and awareness campaigns included poster, slogan, and Best Out of Waste & quiz competitions, awareness rallies, and social media campaigns across Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and Threads.

Additionally, campuses managed e-waste and scrap disposal, conducted Shramdaan on 25th September, and organised tree plantation drives to promote environmental sustainability.

These efforts resulted in strong participation from students, staff, and community members, contributing meaningfully to the Government’s Swachhata Hi Seva mission through both digital and physical initiatives.

The campaign reinforced FDDI’s commitment to cleanliness, sustainability, and community service, while the recognition and appreciation of Safai Mitras highlighted the inclusivity and dignity of labour.
