FDDI, NOIDA campus conducts live e-workshop on ‘Madhubani Painting’
A live e-workshop on ‘Madhubani Painting’ was conducted at Footwear Design & Development Institute (FDDI), NOIDA campus on 16th August 2021.
The e-workshop was organized by the FDDI School of Leather Goods & Accessories Design (FSLGAD) through online mode from 11:00 AM -04:00 PM, for which Mrs. Narmada Devi, Master Artisan, President, Shilp Sangh promoting Madhubani Paintings of Bihar was the resource person.
Utilizing the digital platform, the e-workshop was held to maximize the interactive potential, skill enhancement and to make the participants aware about the best practices in traditional art and craft i.e. Madhubani Paintings in leather goods and accessories design.
During the e-workshop, Mrs. Narmada Devi gave valuable tips to the participants and explained how to draw motif, basic techniques of colouring and finishing in making hard goods items like flower pot, ladies bags, mobile stand, pen stand, photo frame, card holder, home decor products, etc. mainly made up of leather and other material with Madhubani Painting.
The e-workshop helped in building the capacity of master craftsmen/artisans of the institute and training of young generation i.e. students to augment traditional arts and entrepreneurial skills which are the backbone of the cottage and small-scale industry.
