‘7th International Yoga Day’ celebrated at FDDI campuses
Footwear Design & Development Institute (FDDI) celebrated the 7th International Day of Yoga across all its campuses with enthusiasm on 21st June, 2021.
To mark its significance and raise awareness about the many benefits of yoga, the United Nations proclaimed 21st June as the International Day of Yoga in December 2014.
The International Day of Yoga 2021 was observed through electronic and digital platforms in view of the COVID-19 pandemic as ‘Yogshala’ with the theme ‘Yoga for health-Yoga at home’.
‘Yogshala’ was conducted by renowned Yoga trainer & mediation guru Mr. Harish Kumar Acharya, who is Ph.D. in Purohitya, M.A in Yoga and Mr. Deepak Rajput who is M.A in Yoga.
The yog guru explained that yoga is not a religion, its way of living that aim towards a healthy mind in a healthy body. Man is a physical, mental and spiritual being; Yoga helps in developing the balance between all the three as stated in Ayurveda in India.
Around 200-250 employees of across campuses attended the virtual ‘Yogshala’ with a great zeal and enthusiasm.
The programme concluded with the relaxation session. Many queries of the employees related to health issues, anxiety & stress was also answered by the Acharaya. After the session employees feel more relaxed, calm & motivated towards indulging yoga & meditation in their daily routine.
