To enhance the technical and industrial attitude in the minds of the Fashion Design Craftsman/Lab Assistant on 'Pattern Making & Garment Construction' and ‘Dyeing and Printing’, a ‘Craftsman Development Programme’ was organized by FDDI from 3rd July to 14th July, 2023.
This ‘Craftsman Development Programme’ was conducted at Apparel Training & Design Centre (ATDC), Noida under the Ministry of Textiles, Government of India.
The training sessions were conducted by qualified trainers of ATDC, Training of Trainers (ToT) Academy under the guidance of Ms. Neera Chandra, Director – ATDC and Ms. Meenu Dabas, Principal – ATDC, Noida, fostering an interactive and collaborative learning environment.
The programme provided the essential knowledge on various aspects of Pattern Making & Garment Construction (PM&GC) such as development of basic pattern-bodice and skirt, neckline variations, seams and seam finishes which will provide a fillip to meet the skilled manpower requirement for industrial growth of the country.
In the domain of dyeing & printing, the participants learnt about the different techniques of dyeing & printing such as tie & dye, block printing, screen, batik, linoleum, mono and collography printing which is very important for the Atmanirbhar Bharat Mission of Govt. of India.
The participants developed samples of each dyeing & printing techniques which was also displayed.
A total of 12 Craftsman/Lab Assistant participated from different campuses of FDDI were also awarded with 'Certificate of Participation'.
