A day long workshop on ‘Gujarat Embroidery’ was held at Footwear Design & Development Institute (FDDI), Noida campus on 30th August 2022.
The workshop was conducted by Mr. Jagdish Rai, Master Craftsman for the 3rd semester students of B. Design at School of Fashion Design which included theory as well demonstration.
The objective of the workshop was to enhance the existing skill set of the students and provide insight about the use of special needles for embroidery in Gujarat.
During the workshop, Mr. Jagdish Rai provided tips and techniques to the students to handle special needles and make designs from them. The students also made a sample embroidery using different type of threads.
