On 26th August 2025, FDDI, Jodhpur Campus in collaboration with the Khadi and Village Industries Commission (KVIC), inaugurated the Footwear Skill Development Training Program under the Grameen Vikas Yojana 2025-26. The initiative is designed to enhance the technical skills of artisans and create new employment opportunities in line with evolving industry standards.
The event was graced by National Awardee, Mr. Mohan Lal Gujar as Chief Guest, who inspired participants to continuously upgrade their skills and establish a global identity. His motivating words encouraged artisans to seize this opportunity and contribute meaningfully to the footwear sector.
This program marks a significant step in bridging traditional craftsmanship with modern industry demands, ensuring a brighter and more sustainable future for the artisan community which will promote self-reliance and open doors to sustainable livelihoods.
