The School of Footwear Design & Production (FDP) at FDDI, Noida Campus organized a workshop in collaboration with Atul Ltd. - Polymers - Retail Business on 04th August 2025 to provide students with hands-on exposure to footwear adhesives and their applications. The session aimed to bridge theoretical learning with real-world industry practices, underlining how advanced adhesive technologies play a vital role in modern footwear manufacturing. The workshop also highlighted the significance of quality, and sustainability in the production process.
Technical expert from Atul Ltd. - Polymers - Retail Business, Mr. Brijesh Sharma led the workshop and conducted detailed demonstrations on the use of different types of adhesives in various stages of footwear manufacturing. Students were given live, step-by-step insights into bonding processes, adhesive selection for specific materials, and troubleshooting common challenges in production. These demonstrations not only showcased the practical application of classroom concepts but also allowed students to witness industry-grade techniques in action, making the learning experience more engaging and impactful.
The session greatly enhanced students’ technical knowledge and provided them with confidence to apply these skills in their academic projects and future careers. Direct interaction with industry professionals, coupled with live demonstrations, encouraged active participation and clarified many practical doubts.
