FDDI, Chhindwara faculty achieves milestone with research study published in a prestigious SCOPUS-indexed journal


A book chapter titled “Centric Innovation in Smart Retail AR, VR, and Industry 4.0 Post-COVID-19 Perspectives: Consumer-centric Innovation in Smart Retail” bearing book titled: Retail Innovations in business Models, ISBN13: 9798369376201, DOI: 10.4018/979-8-3693-7620-1, Date of Publication: June (2025) written by Dr. Govind Soni, Sr. Faculty, School of Retail and Fashion Merchandise (RFM), FDDI- Chhindwara was recently published in IGI Global Scientific Publication which is indexed in Scopus & WoS. The book chapter was co-authored by Dr. A. S. Suresh, Director & Professor, DBS, Dehradun.

The paper examines the transformation of retail through AR and VR, highlighting how technological advancements are enhancing consumer experiences. It also notes that adoption remains cautious, largely influenced by consumer perceptions. Despite India’s strong retail footprint, academic research on the integration of AR, VR, and Industry 4.0 in the retail sector remains limited. This study addresses the gap by presenting qualitative insights from 30 industry leaders representing leading brands such as IKEA, Nykaa, Nike, Tanishq, and Lenskart in Bangalore.

This publication represents a significant milestone for FDDI Chhindwara, contributing valuable perspectives for researchers and scholars exploring consumer experiences in the era of technological innovation.
