On 24th September 2022, Footwear Design & Development Institute (FDDI), Chhindwara campus organized an industrial visit for its students at Raymond’s, Boregaon Unit.
Twenty five students of MBA (RFM) 1st semester of the School of Retail and Fashion Merchandise (SRFM) were taken on the industrial visit with an objective to provide an opportunity to the students to know about various compliances and processing techniques that are widely used in the manufacturing unit, along with standard procedures and practices.
Mr. Ashish Dubey, DGM-H.R, Mr. Ashish Sharma, HR-Manager and Mr. Manish Kukreja, Designer explained the students about the detailed process of textile manufacturing starting from fiber to yarn followed by spinning till textile manufacturing. The students also observed the process of blending the material as per the requirement of order received at Raymond’s Unit internally or from specifications received from international buyer.
In addition to the visit to the manufacturing unit, the group which was accompanied by Mrs. Shashwati Bhowmick, (HOD & Sr. Faculty-RM) and Mr. Sushant Yadav, Sr. Faculty- RM visited Raymond’s Factory Outlet to understand the standard practices and procedures adopted by Retail Formats by Raymond.
