FDDI, Chhindwara campus student shines during national level event - ‘Youth Fest & Talent Hunt’

Ms. Teena Khandait a student of FDDI Chhindwara campus, representing Footwear Design & Development Institute (FDDI) during the prestigious national event, ‘Youth Fest & Talent Hunt’ presented her captivating collection.

This event, which was organized by the World Designing Forum in collaboration with the Agra Development Authority on 1st & 2nd July 2023 brought together over 300 budding designers from Central India.

The event, held in Agra, served as a platform for aspiring designers to showcase their creativity and innovation. The judging panel consisted of renowned international designer Rina Dhaka, Ankush Anami (CEO of the World Designing Forum), and Bollywood actress, Shatipriya. all of whom have made significant contributions to the fashion industry.

With an aim to celebrate the incredible craftsmanship of handloom weavers, Ms. Teena presented her captivating collection based on this timeless artistry. Her designs seamlessly merged tradition with contemporary aesthetics, capturing the essence of the weavers' skills and promoting their craft to a wider audience.

The exceptional skills and unique vision of Ms. Teena Khandait, a final year student B.Des. Fashion Design from the School of Fashion Design (SFD) caught the attention of the judges, resulting in her well-deserved recognition.

Acknowledging her remarkable work, she received a certificate of recognition, that propelled her into the next phase of the competition.

Following the achievement, Ms. Teena will now represent FDDI and the handloom weavers in the final round of the event. This opportunity allows her to further showcase her talent and create awareness about the importance of preserving the rich heritage of handloom weaving.
