FDDI’s ‘Fashion Blazon 2023’ held in collaboration with India Style Fashion Week

‘Fashion Blazon 2023’ was held by Footwear Design and Development Institute (FDDI) in collaboration with India Style Fashion Week at Epicentre, Apparel House, Gurugram on 22nd April 2023.

The event was conducted by FDDI School of Fashion Design (SFD), Noida during which, the budding designers of Graduating Batch (2019-2023) of FDDI presented their exquisite graduation design collections.

During the event, Mr. Arun Kumar Sinha, IAS. Managing Director (MD), FDDI, and Mr. Pankaj Kumar Sinha, Secretary, FDDI were felicitated by India Style Fashion Week.

Delivering the ‘Keynote Address’, Mr. Arun Kumar Sinha, IAS, MD, FDDI said, ‘Fashion Blazon 2023’, organized by FDDI is a unique platform that reflects how this institute has groomed-up its budding designers through intensive training pertaining to design innovation, stitching, styling and creativity to make a mark in the fashion industry.

The event was graced with the presence of well- known names of the fashion industry as jury member namely Mr. Kishan Daga – CEO, Concepts and Strategies’ Athleisure, Mr. Gaurav Malik – AVP Design, Bata India, Ms. Sonia Jetley – CEO, Labe Sonia Jetley, Ms. Tuhina Sinha -Regional Head,VLCC and Mr. Prateek - Label “I am Design”.

Addressing on the occasion of ‘Fashion Blazon 2023’, Mr. Pankaj Kumar Sinha, Secretary, FDDI said, “The ‘Budding Designers’ of FDDI will become the brand ambassador for the Institute and shall be the signature for the ‘Fashion World’ in the years to come.”

A total of 16 sequences were presented by the students based on innovative and captivating themes namely, Desi Knits, Parity, The Chaos Theory, Red Thread of Fate, Multiverse, Rhythm of Time, Anurag, Voilent Femmes, A Night in Japan, Khayali Pulao, Gulposh, Aqua Medusa, Celeste, Next in Revamping, Navras and Moksh.

The students showcased their spectacular collections on the ramp which exhibited a graceful amalgamation of drapes and cuts reflecting creativity with contemporary ideas.

The Best design collection was bagged by the sequence named ‘Aqua Medusa’ whereas the most Creative collection was bagged by the sequence named ‘The Chaos Theory’. The most Innovative collection was bagged by the sequence named ‘Next in Revamping’.

The fashion show was choreographed by Bollywood's leading fashion show director and choreographer, Mr. Kaushik Ghosh.

The scintillating show was a big success and great opportunity for the 52 students of FDDI as they displayed creativity not only in designing the garments, but, versatility in organizing and also modeling for the show.
