On 12th May 2023, a seminar on ‘Future Technology and Empretec-Entrepreneurship’ was held at FDDI, Kolkata campus with an objective to make the students aware about future technologies and how to become entrepreneur in future.
Mr. Arnab Chakraborty, National Director UNCTAD, Empretec Program of India, and by Mr. Niren Anand, Managing Director, Evertrade Group, Odisha addressed the seminar.
Mr. Arnab briefed about the students about Entrepreneurship, understanding the steps to take on this career path and to launch one’s own business, how to be a global player etc.
Mr. Niren Anand, Managing Director, Evertrade Group, Odisha briefed about the future technologies and modern trade practices to adopt. He also enlightened the students about an advanced technology in running shoe known as ‘Eudora’ that provides stable stability, shock absorption to prevent injury, and reduces the chance of injuries during long distance running.
He also shared his career journey with the students and told how he has established two factories one in China and one in Vietnam and the third factory, which is under construction in Odisha.
Organized by the School of Footwear Design & Production (FDP), the seminar was attended by around 50 participants including students and faculty members.
