National conference on the topic ‘Game Changing in Textile Process and Linking Fashion for Value Creation’ was organized at Footwear Design & Development Institute (FDDI), Jodhpur campus on 7th March 2019.
The conference was jointly organised by Archroma, Colourage and ION Exchange in which the exporters, manufacturers and owners of textile and garment units of Jodhpur, Pali and Balotra areas participated.
Fashion Designers and various fashion institutes attended the conference which provided a platform to create value for process house to reduce waste load, better process cost and primary and secondary treatment and how to create brand and get better profitability in value chain by value proposition.
The conference was inaugurated by Mr. Ashok Choudhary, Executive Director, FDDI, Jodhpur, Mr. Anjani Kumar Prasad, Managing Director, Archroma Pvt. Ltd., Mr. Prinkle Thomas from ION Exchange and Dr. Abdul Aziz Ansari from Northern India Textile Research Association (NITRA).
The conference provide a floor for deliberations on common issues of textile & manufacturing units which included implementing more sustainable processes to reduce water waste load, create value in textile processing with innovative products and processes, link textile processes, colour effects to the latest fashion needs and trends, open colour horizon and shorten time to market with the ‘Colour Atlas by Archroma’ and the use of e- commerce to tap into mass fashion.
During the conference, Ms. Monika Choudhary, Faculty of FDDI School of Fashion Design (FSFD) made a presentation on ‘How FDDI can help the industry’, in which she explained how to support industry in creating value and participate in value chain after fabric to garment, its design and development etc.
Another Faculty, Ms. Priti Hingorani made presentation on Impact of e-commerce on mass fashion.
The conference has Pannel discussion during which among Ms. Monika Choudhary was in the dignitaries where she briefed on the problems faced by industries of Pali, Balotra and Basni.
The conference was ended with fashion show by students of Bridge Course on theme ‘Spring Dales’. The eye catching collections were appreciated by one and all present during the show and also received accolade from the entire media.
