Ms. Monika Choudhary, Faculty, Fashion Design FDDI, Jodhpur has been selected as Speaker in the 4th Global Sustainable Fashion Week(GSFW 2019) organized by National Fashion League Hungarian Association Budapest , Hungary.
The Global Sustainable Fashion Week(GSFW 2019) organized by National Fashion League Hungarian Association has organised an exceptional event on 08th - 11thApril 2019 in Budapest, Hungary. Many fashion and Textile professionals from different countries ( USA, France, Germany, Pakistan, India, Taiwan, Hungary, Spain, Italy etc.) has Participated in the event. The event was organised in Instituto Italiano di Cultura Budapest , to discuss prospects in the field of creation that encourages the intersection between the know-how and imagination of creators( designers, creators, plastic artists, architects, decorators ) .The calendar include Local press conference ,workshop, Eco fashion show, Exhibition and cultural programs.
The designers present their collections that they have produced with respect to the environment, sustainability, ethics and to do the circular economy.
The Program was inaugurated by Mr.JEFF GARNER Featured Fashion Designer from USA. Garner has vivacity and commitment of creating distinctive, sustainable, eco-friendly fashion is a reflection of his environment. Among them is Mr. Georg Andreas Suhr , designer from Germany and owner of brand COCCON with sub-label “creativity can care and we only use Ahimsa Silk and other organic fabrics – Crafts & Loom. There are other designers also like Mr. Jocelyn Chen from Taiwan, Megla Rozsa designer from Hungary, Mr. Sylvia Calvo from Spain , Mohammad Fawad Noori from Pakistan and Mr. Andrea Lazzari from Italy were there.

Beside Jeff Garner dedicated his talk to the relationship between the increasing use of synthetics in fabrics and a rise in serious illnesses such as breast cancer-“In its current form the fashion industry is a toxic industry. Big brands don’t want consumers to know what’s inside their product . The problem is that this cannot be proven since everyone’s bodies are different , and there are too many variables . This is why I’m working with the united Nations to conduct fashion shows that brings attention to the problem of toxic materials in our clothing “- Jeff said.
On the last day of the event Ms. Monika Choudhary , Faculty of Fashion Designing Department from FDDI Jodhpur represented FDDI INDIA at LA Prima Fashion Hotel, Budapest. She had given a presentation on Indian Traditional Art and Printing techniques, beside she had given a workshop on different techniques of Tie and Dye used in India. She also showcased the tie & dye collection with traditional art work and Ornamentation on them which depicts the tradition of Rajasthan , India.
The presentation was applauded by everyone specially the collection of tie & dye and workshop on tie & dye. She also describe about FDDI there, about FDDI and courses offered , Future aspects of students from FDDI.
