‘Hindi Pakhwara’ held at FDDI campuses

‘Hindi Pakhwara’  was held at all the campuses of Footwear Design & Development Institute (FDDI) located at Noida, Fursatganj, Chennai, Kolkata, Rohtak, Chhindwara, Guna, Jodhpur, Ankleshwar, Banur, Patna and Hyderabad from 14-28, September, 2019.

In order to promote the knowledge and skills in use of official language – Hindi among the faculty, staff and the students in consonance with the policy of Government of India, various competitions were organized during the ‘Hindi Pakhwara’ at the respective campuses of FDDI.


At FDDI Fursatganj campus, Mr. Vikas Verma, IRSME, ED, FDDI briefed the staff and students on this occasion.  In his ‘Keynote Address’ he said, “It was on September 14, 1949 when the Constitution makers of the country decided to accord the status of Official Language of the Union to Hindi. To commemorate the historic occasion, Hindi Diwas is observed every year this day.”

During the prize distribution ceremony at the Noida campus, the winners were awarded cash prizes as well as certificate by the Chief Guest, Mr. Upendra Mishra, Chief Manager - Official Language, Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL), Noida.

A total of five competitions were held out of which three were for the staff and two for the student community of FDDI that witnessed the oratory, logical skills and the literary acumen of the faculty, staff and students in Hindi.

 

Besides this, under the Department of Official Language Incentive Scheme, cash prizes and certificates were given to the Teaching as well to the Non-Teaching departments for the maximum percentage of work done by the department in Hindi during the last year.

Eminent personalities from the field of Hindi graced the prize distribution ceremony at the respective campus of FDDI during which cultural programmes were also organized.
