FDDI Chhindwara holds its 1st Convocation ceremony

After getting the status of ‘Institution of National Importance’ (INI) in the year 2017, Footwear Design & Development Institute (FDDI), Chhindwara conducted its 1st Convocation ceremony on 12th October 2019.

The event was graced by Mr. Kamal Nath, Hon’ble Chief Minister (CM) of Madhya Pradesh (MP) as the Chief Guest, whereas the other distinguish guest of the event who graced the occasion were Mr. Nakul Nath, Member of Parliament - Chhindwara, Mr. Sukhdeo Panse, Hon’ble P.H.E. Minister, Govt. of MP, Dr. Pradeep Kumar Bisen - Vice Chancellor of Jawaharlal Nehru Agriculture University, Jabalpur, Dr. M. K. Shrivastava - Vice Chancellor of Chhindwara University.

On behalf of FDDI, Mr. Arun Kumar Sinha, IAS, Managing Director, FDDI welcomed the Chief Guest and all the delegates during which Mr. Ashok Kumar Choudhary, IRSS, Executive Director, FDDI and the staff & students were also present. 

The Convocation ceremony began with the lighting-up of the ceremonial lamp by the Chief Guest alongwith other dignitaries and then the invocation ‘Saraswati Vandana’ was recited in the presence of an audience comprised of the Graduating batch, the entire student & staff body of the Institute. 

                                                                                    The Managing Director of FDDI, Mr. Arun Kumar Sinha, IAS, in his ‘Welcome Address’ motivated the students to not to forget their value systems, work ethics and humanity and be exemplary in whatever one choose to do in one’s professional life.

Marking the successful completion of their respective professional programme, a total of 89 students were awarded their Degree, out of which 54 attended the historic ceremony in the auditorium of the Institute.

In his ‘Keynote Address’, Mr. Kamal Nath, Hon’ble CM, MP, extended his best wishes to all passing-out students for a successful life. He emphasized the importance of future technology and told students for having career goal considering the future of the industry.

                                                                                 The Valedictorians were called on the stage first, where they received their medals at the hands of the Chief Guest, proof of their undying, ever present effort towards achievement of excellence in their respective programme i.e. IPRM (BBA+MBA), B. DESIGN (FDPM), B. DESIGN (RFM), B.SC.-FDP, B.SC.-FMRM and MBA - RFM (M.Sc.). Gold & Silver medal for Best Academic Performance was awarded to Mr. Tushar Khode and 5 other students were awarded with the Silver medal for being topper in their batch.

                                                                                 Mr. Ashok Kumar Choudhary, IRSS, Executive Director, FDDI, extended the 'Vote of Thanks' & said I am very grateful to all the esteemed guests for their gracious presence and for encouraging us on this occasion.

                                                               The Convocation ceremony was followed by lunch wherein the graduated students bid adieu to their faculty and old friends with a promise to meet again in the future. This ceremonial occasion was covered by print and electronic media.
