For industrial exposure, the students of Foundation Batches of Footwear Design & Development Institute (FDDI), Rohtak were taken to Enrich Agro Food Products Pvt. Ltd. - the manufacturing plant of Coca Cola and Amul located at Rohtak, Haryana on 20th and 22nd November, 2018.
To provide a better understanding of the industrial process taking place as well as to acquire useful information related to the practical aspects of disposing off the various types of industrial waste, the students, under their subject - Environmental Studies visited the plants.
On 20th November 2018, under the supervision of their faculty, the students were taken around the various sections of Coca Cola plant where they saw extensive treatment of the raw water, preparation of the syrup, the container preparation process, filling, inspection, coding and filling the bottles into cases. Students also visited the testing lab & had a practical overview to understand the importance of various quality parameters & safety standards to follow in this industry.
They saw the process of manufacturing cold drinks with various flavors and how after manufacturing the waste water was processed through an elaborate waste water processing system to ensure the output water conforms to the world class standards.
On 23rd November 2018, the students visited the plant of Amul which was a great opportunity for them to visit one of the most renowned dairy industry in India and acquire knowledge about the production line and affluent treatment plant.
During the visit, students visited milk processing department, fermentation product section, ice cream manufacturing section, refrigeration section and engineering plant.
It was a wonderful and interactive visit, where the students understood the production processes, products, operation and waste water treatment of one of the best examples of co- operative achievement in the developing economy.
