Dy. Rector, DIT Tanzania visits FDDI


On 25 February 2026, FDDI Noida had the privilege of welcoming Prof. Ezekiel Amri, Deputy Rector of the Dar es Salaam Institute of Technology (DIT), Tanzania. Prof. Amri was accompanied by two international students currently pursuing their studies at FDDI, reflecting the growing academic engagement between the two institutions.

During the visit, Prof. Amri toured all four Schools of FDDI to gain insights into the institute’s academic framework, advanced laboratories, design studios, and industry-oriented training ecosystem. The interaction provided an excellent opportunity to showcase FDDI’s integrated approach to design education, innovation, and skill development.

The Dar es Salaam Institute of Technology (DIT) is one of the premier higher learning institutions in Tanzania. Established in 1957, the institute is fully accredited by the National Council for Technical Education (NACTE) to offer technician and engineering programmes leading to the awards of Ordinary Diploma (OD) in Engineering, Bachelor of Engineering (BEng), and Master of Engineering (MEng).

A formal meeting was also held with Mr. Vivek Sharma, IRS, Managing Director (MD), FDDI, in the presence of Vertical Heads of various departments and Heads of Schools. The discussions focused on strengthening academic cooperation and exploring avenues for long-term institutional collaboration. The visit marks an important step towards expanding international academic partnerships and fostering collaborative growth between the two institutions.

As part of the visit, the delegation also toured the FDDI Rohtak Campus, where they held a fruitful interaction with Ms. Sarita Duhan, Executive Director. The Tanzanian delegation visited the Centre of Excellence (CoE) and observed the advanced research and testing facilities available at the centre. They also explored the academic infrastructure, laboratories, and workshop facilities at the campus, gaining a comprehensive understanding of FDDI’s training and research ecosystem.
