On 26 February 2026, FDDI Ankleshwar inaugurated a three-month Artisan Training Program in collaboration with the Gujarat Rural Industries Marketing Corporation (GRIMCO) to strengthen traditional craftsmanship and create sustainable livelihood opportunities for rural artisans.
The program was inaugurated by Dr. Anil K. Prajapati, Managing Director, GRIMCO, in the presence of Mr. H. P. Soni, Manager (Leather), GRIMCO, and Mr. Lalit Prakash Jangra, Executive Director, FDDI Ankleshwar.
The training aims to equip artisans with advanced skills in footwear design, leather craftsmanship, and modern production techniques, enabling them to enhance product quality, improve market competitiveness, and increase their income potential.
Dr. Prajapati emphasized the need to integrate traditional industries with structured skill development, while Mr. Jangra reiterated FDDI’s commitment to industry-oriented training and rural empowerment.
