Marking an important step toward strengthening international academic collaboration, FDDI, Noida had the privilege of hosting distinguished representatives from the University for the Creative Arts (UCA), United Kingdom, on 23 February 2026. The representatives included Charlotte Louise Frost, Associate Dean, Canterbury School for Creative Architecture and Design, and Lisa Li, Managing Director, LL Global Education Consulting and International Recruitment Consultant for UCA, along with supporting Indian representatives namely, Mr. Ramesh Pathi, Mr. Chaitnya, Mr. Sharvan and Mr. Krishna.
A key highlight of the visit was the student exhibition showcasing work from the School of Leather Goods and Accessories Design, School of Footwear Design and Production, and School of Fashion Design. The Visual Merchandising display curated by the School of Retail and Fashion Merchandise stood out for its strong conceptualisation, strategic execution, and professional presentation. The delegates appreciated the creativity, depth, and technical proficiency demonstrated by the students.
An academic session followed, featuring an overview of UCA’s global framework and an insightful address on sustainability-driven design, global career pathways, and the evolving role of designers aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The session was attended in hybrid mode across FDDI campuses. A structured portfolio review provided students with valuable international-level feedback.
The visit concluded with a felicitation ceremony and strategic discussions on future collaborations, including faculty exchanges, short-term summer programmes, and potential research partnerships.
