Entrepreneurship Awareness Programme at FDDI, Hyderabad Campus

An Entrepreneurship Awareness Programme (EAP) was successfully conducted on 20 February 2026 at FDDI Hyderabad Campus in collaboration with Central Institute of Tool Design (CITD), MSME–Tool Room, Hyderabad. The programme aimed to promote new enterprise creation, strengthen capacity among existing MSMEs, and inculcate an entrepreneurial mind-set, particularly among youth and aspiring entrepreneurs.

The programme witnessed active participation from students of FDDI Hyderabad and the Government Institute of Leather Technology (GILT), Hyderabad and provided practical exposure to entrepreneurship opportunities, government initiatives, and institutional support mechanisms.

Participants were familiarized with key MSME financial schemes, including MUDRA Loans, CGTMSE (Credit Guarantee Fund Trust for Micro and Small Enterprises) for collateral-free credit, and PMEGP (Prime Minister’s Employment Generation Programme), which supports new enterprise creation and employment generation, along with the significance of Udyam Registration for formal MSME recognition and access to government benefits.

A focused session on project report preparation guided participants through essential components such as cost estimation, market analysis, and financial planning required for availing institutional finance and scheme support. The programme also highlighted digital and institutional market access platforms, including the Government e-Marketplace (GeM) and the Open Network for Digital Commerce (ONDC), enabling participants to understand pathways for expanding market reach and online visibility.

Motivational sessions emphasized innovation, resilience, and self-employment opportunities, while sensitizing participants to the support ecosystem offered by institutions such as CITD, MSME Development & Facilitation Offices, National Small Industries Corporation (NSIC), Tool Rooms, and Testing Centres. The programme effectively reinforced entrepreneurial awareness and strengthened FDDI Hyderabad’s commitment to fostering start-up culture and MSME development.
